Basic HTML Tutorial
Follow these steps and to learn HTML and begin building Web pages.

1. Writing HTML in NotepadWhen you start your Web page, you don't need a fancy program to write your HTML, all you need is a text editor like Notepad or SimpleText.
2. Basic Tags for a Web SiteEvery Web page must have these tags.
   
3. Tags for TextOnce you've got the basic tags, you'll want to add content to your page. The paragraph and line-break tags help you format your text
   
4. Headings, Bold, and ItalicsOnce you have basic text on your page, you can change how it looks with these tags.
   
5. ListsMake numbered and bulleted lists with ease.
   
6. Linking to Other PagesOnce you have your page up, you'll want to point to other pages.
   
7. Adding ImagesGraphics make a Web page fun, but don't forget to upload them to your Web server (see next step).
   
8. Uploading Your PagesOnce you have a page ready for display, you'll want to upload it to a Web server.
